Vinca's Magic Garden

Vinca is a little witch that helps her grandma with herbs, potions and magic. She's been studying her grandma's books about flowers with great attention, and now Grandma thinks she's capable enough to treat patients on her own by collecting the required flowers and mixing potions. Help her to do so!

In Vinca's Magic Garden, you have to explore the nearby forest in search of flowers to make healing potions. Grandma's book on flowers contains useful information to guide Vinca in her quest. Once you've collected enough flowers, Vinca must brew and stir them in the cauldron to finish the potion.

NOTE: In its current version, the game finishes after delivering the first potion - we didn't manage to implement all the characters, audio, potion mechanics and dialogues that we designed before submission, so we will be updating the game during the week - stay tuned for more!

Made for Wholesome Game Jam 2024!

The theme was Handmade, which we interpreted both by the actions that the player does as Vinca (collecting ingredients and building potions) and by the art style we used. This world contains magic and whimsy, so we decided to translate that by using handmade materials and different styles (traditional illustration, handwriting, digital illustration, clay and cardboard cutouts).
